The Lasandwich, a new culinary creation?

I like pasta and so do many people. I myself don’t mind all the work making such a dish yet many people do, especially students. Which is why a bunch of students, according to this article, have inspired a new concept called “The Lasandwich”, or the Lasagne Sandwich. It has been so popular, Tesco have placed it on their shelves.
The Lasandwich is composed of two slices of bread with the tasty lasagne dish, which consists of a beef and tomato sauce, pasta sheets and ricotta cheese, slapped between them, only costing £2, making it not only a tasty take out food encased in plastic packaging, but at a budget price too.
Laura Fagan, Tesco food developer and sandwich creator said “We think the lasagne sandwich could become the food of choice for anyone wanting a solid snack between meals. The inspiration comes from my own student days and how certain foods could sometimes taste much better the next day - such as pizza, lasagne and even curry. Lasagne sandwiches were a favourite of mine back in student days and were really popular with all my mates at university. It was the type of food that could be made very quickly from lasagne leftovers but could really keep you going between meals or equally prove to be the perfect breakfast food after a long night.”
However the Lasandwich has earned some critisism, especially as a snack in between meals. Containing 565 calories and over 25 grams of fat, the sandwich alone contains almost 40% of the recommended daily allowance of fat, so it may not be a good idea after all.
